Overview
SellerBeware is a Discord bot operated by the project team (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we process when you add the bot to a server or use our website.
Information we process
- Reports: Discord user IDs, usernames as seen by the bot, the text of your reason, which server filed the report, who filed it, timestamps, and whether the case is pending, approved, or denied.
- Server preferences: Your server ID and the channel you choose for join alerts.
- Operational diagnostics: Hosting providers may keep standard technical logs separate from the bot’s own database.
What we do not collect
We do not design SellerBeware to archive ordinary chat messages, voice audio, or unrelated profile fields. Features are limited to what’s needed for reporting, review, and alerts.
How we use information
- To run moderation workflows (queue, approve/deny, notifications).
- To show the same public records on our website’s database view.
- To message reporters inside Discord when decisions are recorded, when Discord allows it.
Retention & deletion
Records stay available until authorised operators remove them. If you need help deleting inaccurate data, contact us through the support server.
Children
Discord accounts must meet Discord’s minimum age. SellerBeware is not aimed at children outside of Discord’s own rules.
Changes
We may update this policy when features change. Continuing to use SellerBeware after an update means you accept the revised policy.
